Treat Yo Self...

Shockingly for as much vintage as I buy I don't keep most of it.I did do a fun trade and find a few neat items these past 2 weeks that I thought I'd share here.First I'll share my trade goods I did with one of my instagram pals Darlene. She had her eye on some ballerina wall hangings,a cardigan, and lucite confetti bracelet I had and in return I scored this Bakelite cherry necklace and charm necklace from her!I've coveted the cherries for over a decade but could never justify spending the money on one and was never lucky to stumble across one at an estate or thrift.

The charm necklace is so kitschy cute!

At the antique mall I picked up this Czech glass perfume decanter for $5.00.It'll display pretty in the pink bathroom I hope to one day have.

I picked up this glass bottle that  I want to fill with pink soap and display in the laundry room.I don't currently have a laundry room, just a damp, dark basement but I'm looking to move into a place by the end of summer as I've got my husband on board with the realization that we've outgrown our current home already. The one I have my eye on has one and yes,I've taken to decorating it in my head already.Which is setting myself up to be disappointed if it doesn't pan out but fingers crossed all the same.

Have you guys picked up anything fun for yourself that past few weeks?

Cherry Blossoms....

I'll be the first to admit that I am not a huge fan of reproduction clothing.I find a lot of it is very poor quality and yet they still expect you to pay $100+ for a dress that hundreds of girls will also have...and to me anyway that kind of defeats the purpose of vintage. While out thrifting though I did stumble across this EC Star cherry dress for $1.00 so I couldn't say no.Cherries I feel can be cheesy too as I've lamented before there is a right way and a wrong way to wear them and I did like the print of this!

and since you can't see my shoes in the grass, here they are:

A big "Oh No!" to my hair,it didn't stay very tidy by the end of the day but my bangs aren't quite long enough to do all the things I want to do with them.Operation "don't cut" has been hard but I've stuck to it!A few more months and I'll be golden.

Oh and I finally got around to making a fan page on FaceBook for my shop and posting other vintage things like videos and the likes so if you'd like feel free to add me here!

Shoes!Glorious Shoes!

Yes,we have covered this before but I love shoes.I am not a huge fan of big chain stores but I do like Nordstroms.Sadly since I got married and had kids I never buy big for myself anymore.Today my mom took me to a dangerous place,Nordstroms Rack. You know, all the going out of season over stock type stuff at way cheaper prices! She treated me to 2 pairs of shoes but I am so picky about shoes and yet somehow managed to fall in love with 4 pair I had to treat myself to 2 pair too.I love that they have a vintage feel to them as well. Here they are in all their glory, can't wait to wear them out!

and as much as my five foot self should always wear heels I love ballet flats!

Much like the little black dress a gal can never own too many black shoes

and normally cherries I am torn about.Sometimes I think they're cute and other times I'm like ew cheesy rockasilly but these I nearly died over.Purple glitter lucite heel,um yes I never outgrew dressing up!

Cherry Cherry,Quite Contrary....

Cherries is a love/hate relationship for me.As a food of course I am a fan but in the sense of fashion its hit or miss.Cherries are adorable but anyone that's into vintage can tell you there is a cheesy aspect to the cherry.Done right=cute, done wrong=me rolling my eyes at some Hot Topic dress (oh I sound like a bit of a vintage snob there I know but hopefully you get what I'm saying).

I have 2 vintage cherry items in my shop that I've been wanting to give some press to so I thought I'd make this post an ode to cherry items I love on Etsy.
