Taking a break for our regularly scheduled world of pretty little things to lay some ugly truth on you.No one ever said life was fair, that is sort of a given. You would think that one would deserve to have a chance to live a little life though before it was deemed unfair.Life is so unfair sometimes though that it doesn't care that you're only 3 months old.Imagine only having been put on this earth 90 days ago and already you've been given a 50% chance of survival.Such is the case of 3 month old Riker Dresser.
Riker has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. My dear internet pal Bailee mentioned the Dresser's situation as they are close friends of hers and my heart broke for her,Riker and the mother and father.I try to live my life by the golden rule. You know, that rule we are taught as children and quickly forget well before adulthood of treating people how YOU would like to be treated.I can't take Riker and make her better unfortunately so the only thing I could think to help was the following:
1.this blog post mentioning her.Despite your beliefs please keep Riker in your thoughts.Power or prayer or positive energy can do wonders.
2.Try to ease a little of the financial burden this family must now endure with the cost of medical and travel expenses which is why now through the 13th of June I will be donating 20% of all sales to the family.Seen something you've had your eye on in my Etsy shop? Now is a good time to indulge.
3.Maybe you're thinking" eh I don't really need a pack of smokes" and would rather do something much more useful with $5.00 and donate via pay pal to the family.I don't want to put the email up out of fear of them being spammed but if you're interested please contact me via etsy through convos and I will promptly reply to you.

ReplyDeletethank you!Terribly sad.Makes me so very thankful my kids have their health. We take our good health for granted far too often .
ReplyDeleteIt makes me so angry that bad things happen to kids. :( Its just not fair and doesnt seem right. I hope shes one of the babies that prove those percentages wrong.
