Shoe Porn...

My porn is shoes.Mostly vintage shoes,I of course appreciate the vintage styled shoes and every now and then a modern shoe makes my heart flip.My problem with a lot of repro shoes though is the price.I love remix but can pretty much guarantee I'll never own a pair (unless they're on a 50% off sale).I look at an almost $200.00 pair of shoes as simply too much for my budget. It also makes me think "do you know how many ACTUAL VINTAGE shoes I could get at that price?!"If I was rich I assure you I would SO be one of those gals that spent $500+ on shoes but the reality is I'm not.

Now if cute repros UNDER $100.00 is more up your alley I thought I'd share with you in case you weren't familiar the Dance Store and a few of my favorites from them.My wishlist in already pretty full with some that will be gracing my closet once I get moved (boo priorities but saving for a home and the move IS more important than pretty shoes, hehehe)

this pair comes in black too:

this pair is the priciest at $79.95 so that is like a sale price at remix =)

  2. Thanks for sharing this website! I feel the same way about Remix - they have some nice shoes but I'm not willing to spend that much money on one pair when I consider the price of real vintage shoes. And the fact that 200$ is just a lot for shoes for a not-rich person.
Anyways, the Dance Store will be a good resource in the future! Thanks!

  3. Totally agree! I would so like a pair of remix, but its never going to happen at $200+ a pair! These styles are great - at a much better price :)

  4. Just be careful of buying dance shoes to use for everyday use as They aren't really made to be worn as street shoes, you might need a different sole put on.

  6. I have several pair of these shoes and they are as great as they look.
I have had street soles put on some and keep the others for dancing.
I can be seen wearing them in my posts.

  7. I have the third pair down (the 1930s Oxfords) and I LOVE them!! They are the most comfortable shoe I own. I thought I might need to re-sole them when I bought them, but I didn't - they work just fine for street wear.
