My porn is shoes.Mostly vintage shoes,I of course appreciate the vintage styled shoes and every now and then a modern shoe makes my heart flip.My problem with a lot of repro shoes though is the price.I love remix but can pretty much guarantee I'll never own a pair (unless they're on a 50% off sale).I look at an almost $200.00 pair of shoes as simply too much for my budget. It also makes me think "do you know how many ACTUAL VINTAGE shoes I could get at that price?!"If I was rich I assure you I would SO be one of those gals that spent $500+ on shoes but the reality is I'm not.
Now if cute repros UNDER $100.00 is more up your alley I thought I'd share with you in case you weren't familiar the Dance Store and a few of my favorites from them.My wishlist in already pretty full with some that will be gracing my closet once I get moved (boo priorities but saving for a home and the move IS more important than pretty shoes, hehehe)
this pair comes in black too:
6 different shades on this style:
this pair shown in the indigo and white combo, come also in navy and white, black and white, brown and white and all black:
this pair is the priciest at $79.95 so that is like a sale price at remix =)
OMG, you completely made my weekend!!! I have been looking for shoes just like this, and at a reasonable price. Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this website! I feel the same way about Remix - they have some nice shoes but I'm not willing to spend that much money on one pair when I consider the price of real vintage shoes. And the fact that 200$ is just a lot for shoes for a not-rich person.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, the Dance Store will be a good resource in the future! Thanks!

Totally agree! I would so like a pair of remix, but its never going to happen at $200+ a pair! These styles are great - at a much better price :)
ReplyDeleteJust be careful of buying dance shoes to use for everyday use as They aren't really made to be worn as street shoes, you might need a different sole put on.
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful! Thanks for the tip. I had no idea.
ReplyDeleteI have several pair of these shoes and they are as great as they look.
ReplyDeleteI have had street soles put on some and keep the others for dancing.
I can be seen wearing them in my posts.
I have the third pair down (the 1930s Oxfords) and I LOVE them!! They are the most comfortable shoe I own. I thought I might need to re-sole them when I bought them, but I didn't - they work just fine for street wear.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip! I had the same feeling about Remix's cuuuute shoes but high price tag. Headed over to look now!
