Indecisive Bathroom Decor Decisions...

Sometimes I'm not very good at deciding what I want to do,this is especially true in my home decor.If I can't find what I want I'll just go without until I find something just right.Other times I think I know what I want and half way into the project I change my mind.This is what happened with my bathroom.Sadly AFTER I painted it so I get to paint it again.It has high ceilings.I don't look forward to that again.Before I left California I bought this barkcloth curtain panel at an estate sale.

I finally got around to listing it and then the next day pulled the listing because I decided it would make for an awesome shower curtain!The problem is I only have one bathroom in my new house which meant my atomic shower curtain and my Miller Studio fishes weren't going to work.

I put the shower curtain on Ebay and the fish are on Etsy

Now do you guys think I should paint my bathroom chartreuse or pink?And as far as wall hangings I'm thinking swans or poodles,which do you think is more fitting with the curtain?

It'll be a bit down the road but eventually I'm going to get this sink (I think,there are so many choices its hard for a gal to decide) I saw from vintagetub.com

I want to redo the floor which means that I have to have the money for the new tub,toilet and sink too since we'd want to do the floors first before we put those things in.Why are my projects always so expensive?I want hubs to lay hexagon floor tiles like this photo courtesy of Katyelliott.com

    I'd say go with a "Mamie Eisenhower" Pink on the walls and poodles.

    I love chartreuse, but pink it fabulous too, and I'm more a poodles than swan gal!! Enjoy your remodelling!

    Oh Mick good pink choice!I think since pink is the smallest color on the curtain I'll do pink with chartreuse vases and little touches like that.

    I love chartreuse but have never used it in large quantities so I don't know if it'd be too much.

    Pink because it is in a bathroom and it will reflect on your skin. Chartreuse will make you look a little green.

    My bathroom is a vintage one from the 60's made in pink and black. I think it's the best color for a vintage style bathroom.
    I also love green or yellow with black.

    Pink bathroom for sure!
    I think the swans go better because they have that lovely Blue colour on their wings that match the Blue in the curtain. The poodles are amazing though.
    You bathroom will look fabulous either way.

    Oh my gosh.... We had those fish with the bubbles in my house when I was really young. Only they were blue. I wonder where they went???

    I'm thinking swans, they can be swimming elegantly down the river. I agree that pink would be more flattering. X

    pink is always the most flattering color in bathrooms (for reasons noted by the glamorous housewife), and i think the swans will go better with the theme of the barkcloth. im sure whatever you choose will turn out great!

    I remodeled my entire house and after 5 years we found out about habitat for humanities shops. We've bought faucets, paint, tile, sinks, etc. The stuff is donated so it's very inexpensive. I'm going to hit one up this weekend to redo my bathroom, good luck.

    chartreuse would be such a super fun color. I've never seen a bathroom that color before. oh i'm thinkin def poodles, if ever there were a reason to have poodles in your bathroom, those curtains would be it! I really really really want the floor tiles your hubs wants too, right now we have laminate and its not pretty...but new bathroom is like 50th on the list of things to do right now with the babe on the way, so I'm very jealous and I hope you'll share more rooms in your awesome house with us!

    I support a chartreuse bathroom whole-heartedly! Such a beautiful colour. And the swans. I adore bathrooms, my favourite room in a house. Love your blog!
