Cherry Blossoms....

I'll be the first to admit that I am not a huge fan of reproduction clothing.I find a lot of it is very poor quality and yet they still expect you to pay $100+ for a dress that hundreds of girls will also have...and to me anyway that kind of defeats the purpose of vintage. While out thrifting though I did stumble across this EC Star cherry dress for $1.00 so I couldn't say no.Cherries I feel can be cheesy too as I've lamented before there is a right way and a wrong way to wear them and I did like the print of this!

A big "Oh No!" to my hair,it didn't stay very tidy by the end of the day but my bangs aren't quite long enough to do all the things I want to do with them.Operation "don't cut" has been hard but I've stuck to it!A few more months and I'll be golden.

Oh and I finally got around to making a fan page on FaceBook for my shop and posting other vintage things like videos and the likes so if you'd like feel free to add me here!

  1. I know what you mean about repro. You can spend less money on a unique vintage piece, so why spend OVER $100 on a dress you will see on other people.

A tip for managing growing out bangs, side part your hair and style them in one downward roll. I always kind of backcombed and then smoothed over the short pieces that didn't

  8. Good price but agree about a lot of repro clothing, I can't believe the prices charged for the standard! Having said that I guess it's good for people who are larger - like me - and find it hard to find vintage stuff.

I wear a lot of repro at the moment, but when I say repro I mean I make it!

  10. The print on the dress is more vintage-y than a lot of newer cherry prints. It actually reminds me of vintage table linens. I like it a lot. Great pics!

  12. Is it a cotton dress? The print is sooo cute.
A perfect daydress! That just the kind of thing I'm always looking for, and they are hard to fiend. Repro is often in some cheap materials and more appropriate for evening wear. If I want to look super glamorous I by vintage, there are still party dresses out there even for curvy girls, but the simple stuff? Nothing...I have to learn to sew...!
