Spots and Swallows

Eep!1 week until I move.I've started packing up my glassware.Ugh!Packing breakables is a ton of no fun!I have a lot too.One thing I'm praying won't break are my vintage swallow glasses.I found this set of 5 when we lived briefly in the U.P. of Michigan,I miss the antique shopping up there with all my heart.

I only showed the 4 on these but I have 2 of each color.I got these at a thrift store when we first moved to Indiana.

And this guy was a gift I got my husband, found at one of the local antique malls when we first moved to Indy,my hubby doesn't dress vintage and for the most part could care less but he does collect old barware stuff so he got a kick out of this gag flask.

Ok will back to packing, woohoo rock and roll Friday night for me!But thanks blog world for giving me a brief break to show off some of my vintage goodies before I lost my mind in all this bubble wrap.

  2. your glass wear is amazing :) I am always on the look out but they are really expensive here..mostly $5-$7 a glass..probably worth it but I just can't do it..I could probably leave with just one or two but I don't like the idea of leaving without leave the whole set... LOL

p.s you were super duper gorgeous in your last post :)

  3. Paper Doll,
oh yeah it can get pricey. The swallows were $2 a glass not great but not horrible and they were sooo cute. The dot ones were only 10 cents a piece so I was really stoked on those!Oh and thank you for the compliment!

    1950s Atomic Ranch,they're so fun aren't they!?

  5. Lady, those swallow glasses are crazy. I am kind of at a loss for words because I can't find a description that would suite them, so flippin' amazing will do. And my bird nerd heart loves that you did not call them sparrows.

  6. Ooh the swallow glasses are A M A Z I N G! I collect 50s and 60s glassware too....I would be so excited if I saw those!! I usually find my glasses at car boot sales in the UK (your equivalent to garage sales) for about 10p - 20p each (about 15c - 25c!!)

  8. I am curious, you are moving temporarily to Cal. while hubby settles in Alaska right? Where is you stuff going? I am thinking it is going to be a long time before you get to unpack! I am sure when you do it will feel like Christmas rediscovering your treasures.
