I could literally spend hours pouring over old magazines.Obviously I prefer the fashion to today's concept of fashion and the ads I find much more attractive.I was looking at an issue from 1943 I was delighted to find a fashion spread on berets, coats and a turban to boot!
And oh the shoes...can we talk about the shoes?I love them!I actually scored these at an antique mall that had a vendor going out of business a few weeks ago I've just been horrible at getting around to showing them off on here.I spotted them on the lower shelf and ran over to them. With one arm trying to hold a wiggling toddler the other hand attempted to wiggle off my Converse and sock.I sat Wayland down to slip my foot in and it fit!And comfortably too!My split second of victory was short lived as I quickly had to sprint over to Wayland who had found vintage shot glasses in another booth and was happily clanging them together!Thankfully nothing was damaged but shopping with kids will keep you on your toes!
oh my! those shoes are AMAZING! please just tell me they are a size 5 so i feel better :)
ReplyDeletethey're a 6 =)
ReplyDeleteLove the fashions! I so wish I'd run across similar items in my travels - in my size. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd what a fabulous shoe find! You're a lucky girl :)
The pumps are to die for. And you have me pining over a black beret now...which is massively inconvenient since I just swore off shopping for 3 months ;)
