Work That Skirt...

A few weeks ago I visited an estate warehouse. These skirts are in the funnest prints and must have all been from the same lady.I snagged them, got them home and being in love with the fabric hoped they'd be in my size. They're not but that's ok because they're just going in the shop then.I know wearing vintage a lot of gals get mad at only finding things with a 24 inch waist. Its why it was nice to find these, they have an elastic waist and resting they're 31 to 32 inches with a max of 44 inches!

Skirts From France and Battle of the Bangs

What is new since last week?If you don't follow me on Facebook or Twitter than you're just now finding out that my bangs are back.I'm mostly glad too but there is of course a smidge of remorse over not being able to stick with it,but C'est la vie.

I've also been bad about outfit posts so I thought I'd get one in before I get too rusty.Today I wore the vintage skirt I picked up yesterday while thrifting. There is a cool little thrift shop in town that separates the vintage from the normal donated clothes but still keeps MOST things thrift shop reasonable, others sadly not so much. This skirt was made in Paris,France which automatically makes it cooler to me for some reason. And the fact that I talked the guy down from $20.00 to $12.00 also helps.

I scored my 60's blouse years ago off ebay.I was a little disappointed in my blouse department this morning.I really need to have a better variety.I think a navy nylon blouse would be perfect with the skirt.*Note to self keep eyes open for blouses.I have a ton of skirts but rarely anything to pair them with most of them time, tsk, tsk!Didn't get a close up but there are my awesome $1.00 bakelite hoop earrings.

Shoes,Skirts and What Nottery....

I've been meaning to show off this skirt for awhile now but never did have the right top for it.Not sure if I like this top with it either but it did the trick for today's outfit and note to self:get more white tops as this is your only one. This skirt I got from a trade with the wonderful Nicole of Bombshell Bettie's Vintage that I did months ago.

The shoes were a present to myself for Yule that I got from Jojo's Retro and Vintage,I still find myself sulking over the amazing green pea coat she had in her shop that I missed because the day I had the funds for it,it had been put on reserve for someone else!Oh the humanity!

Speaking of vintage "no fairs"...As I've mentioned before I am REALLY trying to save for penny I get for moving and buying a home(tellin' ya this is MY year!).But the other week I saw a pair of heels so cute and so cheap couldn't resist! The showed up in the mail yesterday and much to my horror did not fit!It was as karma was saying "see, that is what you get for buying them!"*le sigh* So I put them in my Etsy shop in hopes to get my money back on them and if you have super itty bitty feet like a size 5.5 I think (check the measurements) go give them a good home.
