Slim Pickings...

As most of you know my original plan of moving in June fell through.I don't feel like unpacking things I've packed so closet and accessories are becoming rather slim pickings! It makes outfit posts hard to do.Also since I'm trying to save money and NOT buy things (near impossible for me) I haven't had pretty "new" things to show off.Oh dear this is making blogging awfully hard!Tee hee!The last house I've fallen in love with I'm only short 4grand which isn't too bad.Hopefully my shop gets out of the "summer slump" and does AMAZING and before you know it I'll be moved into my new home with all my things out again, plus the joy of doing posts on a vintage home!

Yes,those are Hello Kitty sandals =) plus side of having being short is I also have little feet so I can score shoes in the little girls clearance section.I'm not a huge fan of sandals but these are cute and I need to try now.As you can see in this photo I have a silly tan line on my feet from wearing my ballet flats so much so the top of my feet are tan and I'm trying to get my toes to match!Sillier still is I wore jeans too much with my flats so where the cuff of my jeans were the is a big jump in color compared with my lily white legs.

Gray Skies Take 2...

If I planned things better I would have snapped photos of what I wore today and THEN changed into the dress I meant to show you last post but my camera battery died so I only got one photo.I don't plan things well though because by the time I got out of the dress I wore today and into the other dress and back out of it again I said "eh never mind" and put on my pink Scottie dog and fleur de lis pajamas.=)

My friends call me the thrift store queen and I guess I can accept that title.I'm pretty good at putting an entire outfit together for less than $20.00,but honestly I've had to for so long that it comes naturally. For example this outfit with dress, shoes, flowers and necklace cost me $15.50!

My wardrobe has been lacking a petticoat since my mid 20's which is a shame because I think would be really cute with this dress.Somethings in life you learn too late but when your parents told you to "share" remember to scrap that idea when it comes to your closet!Especially if you're a vintage lover. Its one thing if your friend borrows something and ruins it or just never gives it back but if said item was vintage its 10 times more heartbreaking. It was windy today but I love the V shape ruffling!

the shoes I shared a few posts ago as part of a somewhat recent thrift score.Yellow shoes don't really go with a ton of things so I had to wear them with this dress versus plain black (though I feel my closet is in need of gray ballet flats)
