Burgers,Beaches and Fruit Baskets...

Typical day in my neighborhood yesterday.Got the kids and myself ready to go the post office, hubby joined us and afterward we took the kids to the park on the beach. My life often seems like the movie Groundhogs Day with Bill Murray, only mine is along the lines of thrifting, park, post office, listing.Sometimes that's good sometimes not...maybe you get bored hearing the repetitiveness?Well, that's why I at least have pretty photos to entertain you with.=)

Downtown is decked out for the holidays

After living elsewhere that has 4 seasons being back in a beach town that only knows sunny, cloudy and rain is unsettling to my senses.Peace on earth and palm trees. Its weird to not have snow.

I did get to wear my moccasins that I got from HulaGirl1922's shop

We grabbed lunch to go at the DQ and took it down to the beach to eat.

I appreciated the dumpster down there. Its nice to see people take something ordinary and give it some razzle dazzle

But didn't appreciate the man trying to keep the kids down...

I picked up these fruit salad basket earrings earlier in the week and though I had the best intentions of selling them I fell in love after wearing them yesterday so I am keeping them.Bad vintage seller, bad!I know.

Sad to report my bangs did not survive a 4 mile walk and day at the beach. They were quiet flat and fallen out of place by the time we got home.

and that was yesterday in a nutshell for me *insert "help!I'm in a nutshell" bad joke here*

Thrift Store Finds For the Week...

I'm always, always, always hunting for things for my Etsy shop but I of course have to keep somethings for myself.I'm trying to not do that as much right now since I'm trying to save for our move but these pretties I couldn't let go of.

The swan necklace I thought was such a fun piece.I have a few owl, flamingo and sparrow necklaces but no swan until now.

and of course hearts, you know how I feel about hearts!

I've been on the hunt for a few years for a celluloid chain necklace that has the seeds dangling from it in my cost range.Normally I see them in the $60ish dollar range. These earrings would match perfectly for my future necklace so when I do finally find it I'll have a sweet set.

This purse if perfect for autumn and its a 2 in 1!It has the snap cover and if you remove it you have a basic black purse.

Screw Christmas in July I'd Rather Prep For Autumn...

Fall is definitely my favorite season.Living somewhere you can actually see the change in seasons is fantastic too.For as much as I loath Indiana Summers it's all but made up for with the falling of a leaf.Everyone's big on the whole Christmas in July thing but me personally I'd be happy moving to Fall.Even my Etsy shop right now seems to be showing off early signs of Autumn!

some vintage leaf hankies:

vintage Sarah Coventry leaf earrings:

and this lovely vintage acorn hat:

Now if only the weather could pretend it's Autumn so I could enjoy some hot apple cider life would be grand.... oh and let's not forget pumpkin Chai spice Coffee Mate creamer being available again, mmm yes please!

Oddles of Poodles...

I had some REALLY cute elephant figurines I was going to show off here on my blog but the sales fairy was working overtime for me yesterday and I had my Etsy shop wiped out twice in 24 hours!Amazing!I got some more things listed last night and stayed up way too late doing so.I have a ton of errands to do today and that should be interesting since my body is telling me I over did it yesterday so the idea of walking all over town doesnt seem like a ton of fun but bills need to be paid and packages must be sent off.

Here is a mama poodles with her babies:

and a set of 2 poodles:

and then I need your opinion.... I listed this Reja necklace and bracelet last night:

I listed it at $49.99 which I think is very fair since if you look at what just a single piece of vintage Reja jewelry goes for on Ebay you'd know what I'm saying but at the same time for what I got it for makes me feel guilty, especially since it's such a jump in price compared to the other items in my shop, and I know Etsy and Ebay are totally different and I didnt see any Reja pieces listed on Etsy...I mean I have 4 months for it sell at that price and if it doesnt oh boo hoo I'm out 20 cents but I'd rather have a sale over it...I suppose I believe in the phrase "it's better to make a fast dime than a slow quarter" a little too much,my hubby is forever griping at me for selling things too cheap but I still like people to feel like they're getting a good deal.Do you think it's a fair price or should I go down?Or Up?
